In Chicago, I worked for Art on Sedgwick - an organization dedicated to engaging neighbors of all backgrounds to foster belonging, inspiration, and equity in the Old Town area. I owe a lot to their philosophy and community — you can check out their current work on their Instagram and blog.

I'm currently developing a graphic novel that explores the rich history of Chicago artist colonies throughout the 20th century, focusing on the multifaceted life and work of Edgar Miller. This was done with the support of the organizations Edgar Miller Legacy and Art on Sedgwick through an artist residency. My other current project is a book about the composer Dmitri Shostakovich and his experience as a composer in Stalinist Russia. The book in on hiatus because of the previous project, but you can check a preview here. To support research on him and that time in history, I also work pro-bono as the layout editor for the DSCH Journal - the academic journal dedicated to the life and work of Dmitri Shostakovich.
